On-demand training for the topics you want on your schedule! The system has a diverse course list, featuring both soft skills and technology intensive topics. These courses work on both Apple and Windows platforms and require no special software to download. Best of all, all courses are accessible from your desk, residence hall, or at home; anywhere you have an Internet connection!
Logging into the system is easy. Faculty and staff members use their WCU email username and password. Students use the first part of their Catamount email address (everything before the @ symbol) and MyCAT password to login.

2) IT Workshops
Workshops are open to any Western faculty, staff, or student at no charge unless otherwise stated. If space is available, non-Western persons may register for designated workshops, with preference given to the spouses and other family members of Western employees.

If you are not associated with Western and you want to attend one or more workshops, you may register yourself manually. If you are not associated with Western there may be small fee charged to attend a session. Please call the Division of Educational Outreach at 227-7397 for more information.

3) Faculty Center Workshops
Western offers a variety of computer-related training services, including scheduled workshops, "HOW-TO" demonstrations, and departmental workshops upon request. Information Technology and the Coulter Faculty Center endeavor to assist the faculty, staff and students of Western with pedagogical and technological skills that will improve classroom instruction and make the use of computers more effective and efficient and appropriate to instruction.
